Farm

The Farm produces food for your inhabitants. Everyone consumes food, including people who are not assigned to a building.

Check the net balance by comparing Farm output with the planet’s consumption. A stored food supply with a negative balance will keep shrinking.

Build or upgrade the Farm and assign workers before you grow the population too much. Check its power supply and silo capacity as well.

If supplies run out and the shortage continues, a famine may begin and population may be lost. Increase production or bring food from another colony before that happens.
