Mine an asteroid belt

Asteroid mining lets a fleet collect resources during an operation. When it is available in your universe, you need to research Asteroid Exploitation and have Reclaimer ships for extraction.

Step by step

1. Find an asteroid belt in the system view.
2. Select it and open Send Fleet.
3. Prepare an Asteroid Mining mission with an eligible fleet.
4. Check fuel, cargo capacity and any territorial conditions.
5. When the fleet arrives, open the mining operation to view available asteroids and choose what to extract.

Asteroid targets vary in resources and risk. Incidents or pirate encounters may occur during an operation, and your fleet may be attacked where attacks are allowed.

Check the cargo, results and next decision. Ordering the return closes the expedition and carries the collected resources to the fleet’s origin. If a territorial fee is shown, review its terms before dispatching the fleet.
