Generate Diplomacy Points

Diplomacy Points pay for decisions such as activating and maintaining policies or annexing planets. Generation depends on your empire’s population, staffing at Command Centers, happiness and available bonuses.

Step by step

1. Check your Diplomacy Points and their breakdown in the empire bar.
2. Review worker assignments at your colonies’ Command Centers.
3. Maintain food and housing to support the population.
4. Check happiness and the effects of taxes and policies.
5. Review research such as Diplomatic Offices and any compatible characters.

Upgrading the Command Center without filling its new jobs does not guarantee more diplomacy. Check worker coverage and your colonies’ conditions.

Before activating several policies, compare their combined upkeep with your hourly generation. A reserve that covers activation may run out if continuing costs exceed your income.
