Generate Science Points

Science Points accumulate and are spent to start research. Research Centers across your colonies contribute to the total based on their level and assigned workers.

Step by step

1. Build or upgrade a Research Center.
2. Assign residents and save the worker distribution.
3. Open Research or the science breakdown in the empire bar.
4. Compare each Center’s production and the bonuses currently applied.
5. Check whether a specialist, Chief Scientist, advisor or policy fits your plans.

Character bonuses may have trade-offs. One card might speed up research while reducing science generation; another may do the opposite. Read every effect before assigning it.

Science continues to accumulate when this screen is closed. To increase production, first check for vacant jobs before investing in another upgrade.
