To expand the lore of the civilizations and the wider universe of Nexus: Downfall, I’ll be publishing short stories about their histories, their characters and the events that shaped them.
The first is The Spear of Asterion. The League of Asterion was the first civilization I worked on for the game, and this story had been in my head long before the other civilizations existed.
Before the legend
Before he became a legend, Achilles was simply a man who refused to look away from injustice.
The Spear of Asterion tells the story of the act of defiance that ignited Asterion’s war of independence and gave rise to its first king. A tale of oppression, resistance and the birth of a tradition that would endure even after the destruction of their world.
I hope you enjoy it!
